Touching Heaven, Changing Earth.
Women
Heart to Heart Womens MinistryAs women we're usually busy taking care of everyone else, and we often don't take time to do something special for ourselves. Join the women of Daybreak for a small group Bible study, a special event or get involved in one of our ministries. You'll find a great group of women who enjoy a time of laughter, encouragement and spiritual refreshment. You won't find any supermoms or Martha Stewart's here--just really women sharing real life. So join us..it's a good thing.
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Proverbs 31:29
SMALL GROUPSTuesday MorningsThis group is open to all women and meets most Tuesday mornings at 10:15 a.m. at a local fast food restaurant. Women are welcome to bring children (the restaurant has an indoor kid's play area).
Current Study: Begins in September, date TBA
We will be studying Bad Girls of the Bible by Liz Curtis Higgs. In this study the author offers a clear-sighted, life-changing approach to understanding those "other women" in Scripture--Delilah, Jezebel, Rahab, Lot's wife, and six more. The author combines a contemporary fictional retelling of their stories with a solid, verse-by-verse study of their lives and the lessons we can learn from them. Whether they were bad to the bone, bad for a moment or bad for a season, but not forever, these infamous sisters show us how not to handle the challenges of life. With trademark humor and heartfelt encouragement, we will learn how to avoid their tragic mistakes and joyfully embrace God's grace.
Eve had a hunger that cost her a garden;
Potiphar's wife had an appetite, too;
Lot lost his mate when her past swirled around her;
Delilah went bad when she snipped the 'do.
Sapphira fell flat when it came down to money;
Jezebel ordered her husband around;
Michal missed the message in King David's worship;
To the bone, in a moment, their badness was found.
Yet..
A woman of Samaria found a thirst-quencher;
A sinner, a women, anointed Christ feet;
Rehab, the harlot, became a believer;
Her sin, like the walls, crumbled down in defeat.
Bad for a season, but no, not forever;
Not these three role models, saved from despair;
Made new by God, their changed lives teach the lesson:
If we but ask him, grace waits for us there.

Thursday NightsThis group is open to all women and meets most Thursday nights from 7:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. in a Cape Coral home. This is a more in-depth Bible study written by trusted and renowned Bible scholars. The group has used studies by Beth Moore, Max Lucado, Cynthia Heald, Henry Blackaby, Donna Partow, John Bunyan and others. There is no child care available.
Current Study: Begins September 2, 2010
We will be jumping into the book of Daniel with Beth Moore. We will be learning how to live "lives of integrity" and study "words of prophecy" as we face the circumstances of our lives. These are challenging times but we have a mighty God as we study how a teenager then adult then old man faced his world that was turned upside down because he knew his God, we, too, can walk through this crazy life of ours because we will know that same God who is mighty and faithful and steadfast. Cost of the book is $15.00.
